Public Address Installation, Hong Kong
The Hong Kong Jockey Club is one of the largest horse racing organisations in the world. Horse racing is the most popular spectator sport in Hong Kong and the Club is the only authorised operator of horse racing in the area. It also offers betting on football matches held outside Hong Kong.
Eastern Acoustic Development Ltd.. who are RCF’s distributor for China have recently supplied a new specialised sound system for the Jockey Club.
The Happy Valley Racecourse MII 4F-6F are the executive floors for the Chairman, Vice-chairman and board members together with several meeting rooms. Throughout the executive area RCF PL70BS ceiling speakers have been installed covering the corridors, and betting counters, these are used for race broadcasts. In the toilets and kitchens areas the PL70BS are also linked to the fire alarm system. In addition to the ceiling speakers, EAD have also used RCF DM61 Compact 2 way speakers to provide a natural, smooth sound reproduction in the outdoor balcony area.
EAD project team carried out the installation and the system was designed by their Technical Director, Mr. W H CHAN.
